Do I Need to Wear a Uniform?

Yes! All high schools in the Toronto Catholic District School Board require students to wear a uniform.

• You will receive information about the uniform and where to purchase it in your acceptance package
• Every high school has its own colours and style for their uniform.
• When buying your uniform make sure you know the right size and purchase pieces that will fit you properly.
• You will be expected to wear your uniform everyday. You will be expected to keep your uniform clean and tidy.
• You will be expected to know the uniform policy of your school; for example: many schools expect students to tuck their shirts in.
• Before altering any piece of your uniform check with your school uniform policy: for example a school may require skirts to be an appropriate length, and if shortened beyond what is reasonable a student may have to replace the skirt.
• The average cost of purchasing a uniform (shirt, pants and/or skirt, socks, shoes) can range from 200 to 300 hundred dollars.
• Your high school may also have a physical education uniform that you will need to purchase to participate in gym.
