Advice for Grade 8 Students

  • James Costa

The biggest piece of advice I could provide to any student entering high school would be to hold on to your agenda and to use it – It really comes in handy throughout the year!!

  • Danlee Athill

Don’t leave things until the last day. You end up not getting any sleep and feeling terrible, and you do a poor rushed job on your assignments.

  • Kristina Nesbit

Be careful who you make friends with! Your friends really influence you in high school. That, and your friends from elementary school will meet new people and you might not hang out with them as often… Don’t worry, though, it’s something everyone goes through!

  • Rahim Rajakumar

Don’t be afraid to make new friends! Remember, everyone in your classes in your first year will be as new as you!

  • Rebecca Wong

Ditto what Rahim said – I would also say you should check out all the cool clubs and activities your school offers… Great way to meet some other older friends who might be able to show you the ropes!

  • mandy

you shouldn’t be afraid. because you aren’t the only grade nine there. so don’t be scared. you should be confident but not over confident cause that will make you seem like a big head. and no one likes big heads. especially if you think you’re all that. people hate that. ;D

Well, grade 8 is always memorable. Leaving elementary school can be difficult, because we leave behind memories, friends and our childhood. We enter a new world, with goals and dreams ought to be fulfilled. So, think of high school as new experience, new changes and four memorable years that will last a lifetime. So here we are, with dreams in our hands. HAVE FUN KAY?
