Every elementary school has a Guidance Counsellor assigned to it. Their role includes supporting students and parents with the transition to high school. There are several ways your Guidance Counsellor can help you with some of decisions you will be making in the near future.
Elementary Guidance Counsellors can:
- answer your questions or concerns about high school
- provide information on courses and credits
- help make the move to high school easier
Once you are in high school, your secondary school Guidance Counsellor will continue to provide support with courses, timetables and decision making to help you determine the right path for your success in high school and beyond.
